I'm baaaaack

it's been awhile. i guess i've been busy. but probably i just havent felt like blogging. maybe because i have nothing substantial to say. i have no complaints. unlike my previous post which is just utterly full of complaints. who likes to read that? i also have no exciting news to share. my life right now is completely unremarkable. yet remarkable. if that makes any sense at all.

every time im driving on 94 through the city and i get right up next to the sears tower, the most peculiar thing happens. i smell cookies. and good one's too. chocolate chip it seems. and every time i smell the cookies, im amazed that im smelling them. because what IS that? i know of no cookie factory in the metro area. is it possible that the people living in all those condominiums are especially fond of baking and simultaneously bake chocolate chip cookies every day. doubtful. i wont have peace until i find out where the cookie factory is and how i can get myself a piece of real estate near said cookie factory.

i survived the secada season without any panic attacks or near death experiences, although i did have the misfortune of stepping on one IN THE AIRPORT of all places. it made a loud crunching noise. i looked down. dead secada. i screamed like a girl. because i am one. and wiggled around for a while yelling "ew! ew! ew!" as i imagined the secada guts traveling through my shoe and up into my body. ridiculous, i know. but i never claimed to be normal.

some good news, my landlord is SUPPOSEDLY sending someone out this week for the gnats. so that is positive. although his track record isnt necessarily the best when it comes to keeping his word. so we'll see. if nothing happens i'll be forced to 'open a can'. sometimes i like to use slang that nobody uses anymore.

last night at my layover hotel in denver i had a sleepnumber bed. i was stoked when i saw it because i was completely convinced i was going to have the best sleep i've ever had in my life. hello, Lindsey Wagner told me so in the infommerical. but then when i was laying there and attempting to fall asleep, i realized i couldnt find my sleep number. what is my sleep number?? do i like it hard or soft? i dont know. i just want a mattress that feels like a mattress please. so i played with the remote for a while. making it super hard and then super soft and then i tried it in between. i just couldnt find anything that felt like a normal mattress. i was so disappointed. then i tried to remember back to the commercial when Lindsey Wagner states her own personal sleep number. because if it works for Lindsey Wagner, perhaps it will work for me. but i couldnt remember what number she says. 35? maybe? it felt too soft.

i think my mind is too complicated for something like an adjustable mattress.

and that's about it. why am i so lame.
